When you choose a DDP solution, Transport Line Dako (Tralin Dako) should be pleased to assist with customs clearance. In this connection, a Power of Attorney (POA) should always be filled in.

Capacity problems for haulers in the US and Canada
The capacity problems for haulers in the US and Canada is worsening.
Some of the main challenges that the trucking communities are facing include:
- Governmental regulations including “Electronic Log Devices” (ELDs)
- Infrastructure and congestion at ports and airports
- Limited free times at rail ramps
- Fewer entrants into the job market. Surveys indicate a shortage of 35,000 truckers in the US
- Increasing operational costs
- High service demands and requirements (hazardous cargo, refrigerated cargo or other special cargo). Several trucking companies are now starting to avoid these types of cargo
These challenges make on-time door deliveries increasingly difficult while also increasing the risk of demurrage, detention and storage.

Time slot on container terminals in Hamburg
Hamburg’s four container terminals are developing their TR02-system which is used to plan the inbound and outbound delivery of containers. Through this system, the haulier will receive a delivery number for each individual container.
The next phase in the development is time slot which comes into effect as per October 29. This means, that it is mandatory for each haulier to make an inquiry for a pre-allocated time slot for each individual container being delivered on one of the four terminals.
The below illustration shows you the tolerance of time slot’s as well as how the terminals will prioritize the trucks.
The new system can cause problems when delivering containers. In case the containers are not unloaded or released, they cannot receive a time slot.
We do not know the number of possible slots within one time slot as the terminals have not communicated anything about this.
